 I believe 9/15 is Nittany's Birthday. You probably got pictures of
several of the litter already. This is Nittany at 1. She is a sweetheart; loves to walk in the woods.
We have a couple of rails-to-trails that are cut right thru the woods of
Northern Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania. They are empty early in the
morning and late in the PM. She loves to go, chase squirrels, smell new
smells, and just run.

A little more than 2 years ago we purchased Leo, our beautiful golden retriever from your location in Maine. I am interested in getting another one because Leo is so great. I have attached 2 pictures for you, one when he was a puppy and a recent one at 88 lbs.

Do you have any upcoming litters? I live in North Carolina now but would have no problem driving down to Maine because we had such a good experience with Leo.

very well to Florida and so are we. There birthdays have come and gone. Brady is 1, Nov 1.and Sampson is 3, Oct 28. They do not let each otherout of there site. Hi Kimberly, I have been meaning to drop you a line to say Hello and before you know it, years have gone by. Not sure if you remember us.  Chloe ( 1 of Max & Millie’s pups Sept 2001) is doing great and has become my son Robert’s best buddy.  Tennis balls and tag are their favorite games. She just loves to run and gets plenty of exercise, especially with a 4 yr old.  We never imagined how much love and happiness Chloe would bring to our family.  She turned out to be quite the charmer and very beautiful I must say.  I remember you telling us the day we picked her out that she would be a “couch potato” and you were 100% correct.  She sleeps on the chair during the day and along side Robert’s bed at night.  Aside from a hot spot once a yr, she has been pretty healthy.  Attached is a recent picture of the 2 of them.  I thought you might like to see her 6 yrs later.   Best Wishes to you and your family for a happy, healthy holiday season.   Kathy & Robert

It's a tough life!

Hi Kim: I was just admiring the pups on your website and thought I'd send a photo of crazy Heidi. She loves to sit on the piano bench and will actually paw the keys of the piano. We have to tuck the bench underneath the piano now to keep her from playing. The world is her oyster - and doesn't she know it! We thank you for this wonderful dog! - Sandy Hambley

Hi Kim, Jordan is the best dog I have ever owned. I want people to see how you touched our lives too. Jordan is around 75 to 80 lbs and she now is almost 3 yrs old. Since we got her my wife has given birth to two kids, my son Liam and my daughter Raegan. Jordan is so so good with them. My wife was not as much as a dog lover as me but she did say she would never own anything but a Golden Retriever. Thanks for making my life better. Jim Malley

Hi Kim, This is a picture of Dakota who is now 7 years old.My parents bought her for me for an early christmas present. She has been the best gift I could ever ask for. We used to live in NH but we have recently moved to Virginia Beach VA where my fiance is stationed at the Navel base. If it wasn't for her I don't think I would be sane right now she keeps me going and is the best dog a girl could ever ask for. I thought you would like to see one of your older puppies and see how well she is doing. The little one is her best buddy Denver who is 3 and a minpin. They go everywhere together. Hi Kim, Just thinking of you and the goldens up there in Maine - especially as we approach October, my time for those occasional visits. It was Pecos' birthday this week - 2 years and still quite goofy! I really, REALLY love this dog. He is simply the goofy'est, happiest and most attached chowderhead around. Wow. So happy, happy happy! Loves the Frisbee to death. I would take the pick from this litter, any day!! It's Kaja's b'day too, and she is in great health, ever the Alpha female, but very, very luving with the pup. Closest of friends... I think of you a lot, and these great dogs you've shared with us. Outstanding...Borden.

Hi Kim, This is by far the best Golden I've ever had..temperment outstanding, most beautiful Golden in the neighborhood and there are five. He's my love, fun intelligent, entertaining with his cute behavior and gentle with elderly and children. He's the Vets favorite dog bar none and wherever we go he gets compliments i.e. "That's a beautiful dog you have there" ,"That's the most gorgeous and sweetest dog I've ever seen," etc. He's completely socialized with both humans and animals and loves to be with both. Dear Kimberly, Cody is my husband's dog and is the darker of the two.While in Wyoming,Cody was a search and rescue dog with Wyoming K-9, Inc. He was certified in avalanche, water, cadaver, evidence and buildings. He also has his AKC CD degree and is a registered therapy dog. I adore Cherokee and his temperament. He is a very happy dog. I don't think I will ever have another dog who is as motivated to track as Cherokee is. He is very talented. Therefore, I intend to continue on with TDX and Variable Surface tracking with him. I cannot imagine being without him. Thus.....................,we shall be looking for another Golden puppy in the spring. I want a smaller Golden - probably a female- (Cherokee weighs close to 80lbs) and one with straight hair. I intend to show the puppy in obedience. Both dogs are very healthy. I have them on a raw diet. They are closely bonded to us and go every where we go. Regards, Pat Gouletee

Hi Kim- Here's a picture of Lily now nine months old. She is doing very well in NYC, but really loves the weekends in Maine or here at our family farm in Maryland. As you can see she has filled out and looks amazing. People stop us all the time and tell us she is the most beautiful Golden they have seen, and that's a compliment because there many Goldens in NYC. Besides her amazing beauty she is truly a loving, funny and sometimes willful little girl. As she did when she was a puppy, she still curls up between us in bed, head on pillow and legs straight out. We hang on to the edge! She also likes to go through my purse and hide my wallet so we can't go out. She only outsmarts us 30% of the time, but it's enough. However, we love it all and cannot image a day without her. She is a gift that we are so grateful for and she gets hugs and kisses every second just so she knows it. Hi Kim, We have just returned from 10 days cruising the Penobscot Bay with Samuel and Oti. Just wanted to let you know that Oti has become a great "boat dog". He really enjoys being on the water. Being in strange ports, climbing steep dock gangways, climbing in and out of the dinghy and staying quietly in his cage when required are all most acceptable to our Oti. What a pleasure! Hi Kim, As promised, here are a few shots of "Nuggets' Dale Earnhardt" or "Puppy". As you know, having boarded and groomed him, he is a legend in his own mind. He loves to pose for the camera and lets you know when he is not getting the belly rubs he so deserves. As you can see, he loves his "Tub" on hot days and will sit there for 15 minutes at a time! Besides that he is the most lovable and friendly dog you would ever want to know. He got a bit chubby last winter but has slimmed down to a lean and muscular 75 pounds. He looks great and he knows it! When you tell him how good he looks, he proceeds to prance about with his big feet hardly touching the ground. We love him dearly. Hi Kimberly! Meg is doing great!! She is about 55 pounds right now, but she still thinks she is just a little lap dog. Meg has a blast in the water! It is one of her favorite things to do. Also, she likes to go out for long swims on her own, and she enjoys swimming out to fetch sticks. She is such a fun dog to be around with and we love her to so much! Hi Kimberly, It's only been two days since we picked up Lily and already we have over 60 pictures of her. To say we are in love is an enormous understatement. She's been so great with no accidents and a wonderful sense of adventure.  This picture is of her hourly romps in the garden, she is so beautiful.  Thank you so much for this little bundle and we will keep you updated.  Tomorrow Lily will try swimming, but for now she sleeps, hopefully through the night = ) Thank you Again, Tyler and David

Hi Kim, Our puppy Riley is doing really great. He is now just a bit over 20lbs - he's getting big. He's housetraining is coming along well - he hasn't had an accident in almost 4 days now so we're keeping our fingers crossed. He is so sweet with Dana - he plays nicely and  for the most part he is so gentle. You were right - he likes to be right by our sides, which is great for us. There are several puppy friends in the neighborhood for him to play with - but I have to say he does seem to be a bit biased towards his own breed - he plays the best with a 1.5 yr. old golden. And we plan on getting in touch with The Reens to connect Riley with his sibling - Do you think they remember ? He has done something quite comical though over the last few days - we're thinking he might be a tad lazy and very smart. A couple days ago, when we were all out walking together, Dana started to really fight being in the stroller so we decided to carry her. Immediately after we took her out, Riley jumped in and made himself comfortable! He stayed in there till we got home - about a 1/2 mile. And then again today - as I stopped to adjust Dana's stroller straps he managed to wedge himself in the stroller basket. It's really hysterically funny. I didn't get a picture of him in the basket, but here's one in the stroller seat.  Anyhow, we are so happy with him, and we thank you again for him. Every day there is new things to learn and do together with him. Thanks again! Tina

Hi Kim, Here are a few photos of Montgomery. I thought you might like to see what our three year old monster looks like. He weighs 85 pound and is 100 % devil, as you can see in one of the photos he is on the fireplace mantle. He loves to sleep there or under the woodstove. We love him so much and are so glad he helped us to get over losing our last golden Reiley. The two dogs are very different but we think you must have broken the mold after Monty. By the way Monty thinks his boots are great. They are a great alternative to salt burned paws. "Bad color but they feel great" he says. Thanks for helping to put the fun back in to our home. Hi Kimberly, Here are the pictures of Brody that I promised you. He is getting so big and is a beautiful boy! He loves the snow, and I can't wait to take him back to the beach this summer. His only "vice" is he can escape under our fence..no matter how we fix it! He doesn't go far though, always sits by our car (loves to go for rides) or is found sitting on our front deck! Hi Kim Here I am on the wing of my Dad's plane. In my two years I have logged over 8000 flying miles between NH and PA. Along with Midas we have harvested over 60 quail in the past two seasons along with a few chukars and pheasants. Now that I am two, Dad says we will hunt pheasants more! I love to swim and manage to find Echo Lake most days during the summer. Just wanted to check in and let you know I love my home and am having a great golden life! Hi Kim,  Just a little update on Millie from Minot.She is such a beautiful puppy with still a lot of the soft puppy fur. She has a bushiness around her neck that is almost like the mane of a lionness. She definitely has a grown up body (about 65 lbs.) but the mind of a puppy still. Millie turned 1 yr on Jan 7 and her "puppiness" has come down a bit.She really is a wonderful dog and just wants to be close to her people or frolicking in the snow. Sincerely, Sue Duval

Hi Kim, Greetings from the West Coast. I just wanted to send you these pictures of "Guinness" now 1 year and five months. He is such a great dog and Diana and I could not be more happy. He has truly become one of the family. We've had a chance to meet some of our dog-owning neighbors so Guinness has a group of friends that he gets to see every day and play with.

Dear Kim, It has been two and a half years since we got Bowdoin from you and the occasions to write to thank you for our lovable, loyal, and goofy companion have been few and far between. Our life with him has been adventurous to say the least. He has made several canine friends around the neighborhood, who he is eager to play with, but none of them can hold a candle to swimming after a frisbee or chasing a tennis ball. Once he learned how to "retrieve" instead of waiting for us to chase him, he became steadfast in his retrieving efforts...it must be in his blood somewhere. While he loves to walk, retrieve, and play around the house, his a most definitely a dog of leisure. He would prefer to be "resting his eyes" for the majority of the day, alternating locations between the couch, a chair that he has claimed as his own, and his dog bed (the bed is only if all other locations have been spoken for). He gets up only to get water, have his ears scratched, or to peer out the window at a passers-by. He continues to make us laugh by sleeping on his back (usually in between us in bed), eagerly waiting to go outside only to chew on a stick and waiting patiently for us to leave before he stands watch on the couch. About a year ago my husband I welcomed twins into our household. From the time we came home with them, Bowdoin started taking his role very seriously. Gone were the days when he would wag his tail at someone walking by the house; now everyone is suspect and deserves some skepticism, and even sometimes a bark. When my son and daughter were younger he would sit beside them when I had to run to the kitchen to get bottles. We had no idea that Bowdoin could be so protective! Now that they are a little older and crawling and walking, he reveals his patient and gentle side when they sit on him, put their fingers up his nose and "give him hugs" (albeit, grabbing fur as they do so). He has only growled a few times and that has been when they have been a little too overbearing with their affection, but most times when he has had enough, he simply leaves the room. Bowdoin treasures the times when it is just the two of us going to the park, but proudly walks alongside the stroller when I take the kids for a walk. He also loves mealtime for the children; so many droppings on the floor and so little time! At the end of the day, after the kids have gone to bed, Bowdoin comes to us looking for scratches and always grabs a toy...nighttime is his time with us. At last, the King still rules the castle! My sister told me a few weeks ago that my children were spoiled to have such a good dog, a dog that is loyal and will never snap at them (even as they have their fingers in his mouth trying to take his tennis ball). We are all spoiled to have Bowdoin in our lives; everyday he is a joy and a treasure. Thank you. Warmest Regards, Kate Balzano

Hi Kim, We thought we'd keep you up to date on Maggie even though we haven't done so for about a year......but I know our son, Jim, out in L.A., is definitely keeping you posted on her brother, Guinness! Maggie goes everywhere with us, loves people, and is a very gentle girl. As you can see from the attached pictures, she loves her morning walk/run in the snow. However, it's starting to melt and the snow banks she loves to jump on are disappearing! Her ball is her favorite toy.....well, actually, it's her life! She definitely has an enormous retriever gene - which is great fun for us! Our vet just loves her - she weighs 55 lbs., very healthy, and runs like the wind! She can beat her brother any day in a race....she "smokes" him! She lights up any store she's allowed to go in, and is very well behaved. She's very well traveled and an extremely good traveler - she's even stayed in a fancy Sheraton, going up to the room in an elevator! She's gone to Wyoming probably 5 or 6 times in our little Airstream trailer (carpet color is, of course, matching "golden"), Florida twice (she sleeps under my 92-year-old Mom's bed....too cute!). We exhibit at home shows, and the exhibitors love her! She may have been the smallest one in the litter (but, as you said, she didn't know it and still doesn't!), but she's got a huge heart and is our constant companion....constant, constant......sometimes we do call her "naggie Maggie!" She's just the best, and our lives continue to be so enriched by this wonderful Golden. We hope your recent partnership venture is working well for you - have a great Spring....mud season is coming!
